Preperations

Alot has been happening. The house is all put together now, and starting to look more like a home than just an oversized apartment. (it's about time!) I've applied to go to school in the evenings to get my degree in Paralegal/Legal Assisting. Hopefully I can get some money! Chris' job is coming together too. They have him heading up the PvP stuff for the next expantion. Even Cassy is happy, she has a back yard to sniff around in and strew toys about.

The Wedding got moved to aboard the ship we are going on the Honeymoon on. Thank goodness Carnival was nice enough to switch ports for us! I can't wait to get aboard the ship and be lazy for a week in the various Mexico stops. I'd just like to take a moment right here to say "I'm sorry and Thank You" to everyone who was going to make it to the wedding, or be in the wedding that can't be here with us. *sighs* A day dosn't go by that when I see something to do with Katrina and I don't want to puke or cry. That bitch took alot from me. Speaking of Bitches that took alot from me...Bonnie Broel is on that list too.

I was to get married in New Orleans at the House of Broel. It would have been beautiful. Alas, the hurricane rampaged through NOLA and flooded most of the city. Weeks went by as my Parents-in-law tried to contact Bonnie, hoping by some act of the gods, the place was spared. # weeks before the wedding, they finally got a call from her. She made every excuse in the book trying to convince them we were still able to have the wedding and reception there. Now, as everyone knows, you can't even FLY into NOLA. Let alone have drinkable water, safe accomadations and the like. *boggle* This woman is still fighting us to this day, refusing to refund all or even part of all the money that was spent to have my fairytale wedding.

I wonder where I stuffed that Voodoo doll Alex sent me....

I'm trying to put all that shit behind me and be happy for us. It's hard, and I think I'm doing an OK job of it. This time next week, I'll have my toes in the sand in some little cabana, sipping a MaiTai and buying little Mexican death masks. Ahh...yess...life isn't so bad after all.

Things will work out. I'm glad to hear you finally finding a bright spot (beverages & Mexican death masks--YEA!!!).

It all makes me cry too. I miss you and was so looking forward to next weekend. I've been trying to plan fun stuff for all of those days, just so that I don't sit home and mope. :(

Love to you and Chris!

Also, remember, there is a purpose and reason to everything--sometimes it is just hard to see at the time...

Hey, I just did a search on "House of Broel" and "refund" and found your blog because I was in your same position - Bonnie is refusing with me as well and I am preparing to sue because of the large sum of money I put down (almost 3000). She gave the same reasons you said and I was scheduled for October 8th. Please e-mail me at garrettbrown@hotmail.com for more info and maybe we can share my lawyer.
