Preperations
Alot has been happening. The house is all put together now, and starting to look more like a home than just an oversized apartment. (it's about time!) I've applied to go to school in the evenings to get my degree in Paralegal/Legal Assisting. Hopefully I can get some money! Chris' job is coming together too. They have him heading up the PvP stuff for the next expantion. Even Cassy is happy, she has a back yard to sniff around in and strew toys about.
The Wedding got moved to aboard the ship we are going on the Honeymoon on. Thank goodness Carnival was nice enough to switch ports for us! I can't wait to get aboard the ship and be lazy for a week in the various Mexico stops. I'd just like to take a moment right here to say "I'm sorry and Thank You" to everyone who was going to make it to the wedding, or be in the wedding that can't be here with us. *sighs* A day dosn't go by that when I see something to do with Katrina and I don't want to puke or cry. That bitch took alot from me. Speaking of Bitches that took alot from me...Bonnie Broel is on that list too.
I was to get married in New Orleans at the House of Broel. It would have been beautiful. Alas, the hurricane rampaged through NOLA and flooded most of the city. Weeks went by as my Parents-in-law tried to contact Bonnie, hoping by some act of the gods, the place was spared. # weeks before the wedding, they finally got a call from her. She made every excuse in the book trying to convince them we were still able to have the wedding and reception there. Now, as everyone knows, you can't even FLY into NOLA. Let alone have drinkable water, safe accomadations and the like. *boggle* This woman is still fighting us to this day, refusing to refund all or even part of all the money that was spent to have my fairytale wedding.
I wonder where I stuffed that Voodoo doll Alex sent me....
I'm trying to put all that shit behind me and be happy for us. It's hard, and I think I'm doing an OK job of it. This time next week, I'll have my toes in the sand in some little cabana, sipping a MaiTai and buying little Mexican death masks. Ahh...yess...life isn't so bad after all.

Hurricanes and Puppies
It hasn't rained here in 5 weeks. Now mind you, Chris' flight to San Diego should have been pulled off without a hitch. Nooo, did it work that way?! He was delayed 2 hours from the NASTY thunderstorms and an overweight plane. He missed his connecting flight in Vegas. Hope prevails though, he did make it to Cali by 11:30 pm pac time. Hell of a time for a backlash of a Hurricane to decide to move through. *sighs* Cassy and I are waiting for you to come home, Dear. Hurry Back!

Bleach..
Someone shoot me? I hate this crap. Every month it's the same. I bleed and bleed and bleed...I have to wonder how the human body survives such blood loss. Yeah, I know. I hear you guys in the back ground hollering "GROSS!". Fuck you. =) I think I'm going to see if my Ob-Gyn will let me get Uterine Oblation. I've dealt with this crap being heavy, painful and life altering since I was about 19 years old. So what if it will kill any chance of me having kids? I really never wanted them anyways. Now where's that bolttle of Tylenol and bar of chocolate?

SPF 50
I made it out to the Dog Park this weekend. (for those of you who don't know, Houston has the top Dog Park in the states, Mille Bush's Bark Park. It's quite nice!) Cassy did her human visiting, par normal. She really dosn't play with other dogs much. It was awfully hot, so we did not stay long....an hour tops. Lo and behold, I was sunburnt. I WAS ONLY OUTSIDE FOR AN HOUR! I love my nice fair, white skin...but c'mon! Sheesh.
Chris and I survived the storms this weekend, also. We got somewhere in the ballpark of 4 inches of rain in about as many hours. The news said that upward of 130,000 people lost electric. I know we had none from 10:30 pm til about 4 am. I think Chris was going to have a nervous breakdown. No TV or computer...poor thing. heh. He sat in the living room with candles lit furiously poking the buttons on his PSP. Thank god for battery powered gaming consoles?

Hah! Filter this!
I can blog from work! Well then, mabey I'll post more. Life has been interesting. I've found a second home again with Everquest 2. Yeah, yeah...games...stuff it. They keep me occupied and out of trouble. So there!
Wedding plans are progressing well, mostly just sifting through details and the like. Just got home from a visit back to PA to see the folks. It went very well, I think. I even got to see Alex, my best friend. She dragged me out to see House of Wax. GUH! Let me tell you right now, this flick isn't even worth a pirated download. It was BAD. The best part of the whole thing was getting to see Paris Hilton die horribly. I might acually make it home again later this summer depending on money. Mom had talked about flying me back sometime after August.
Speaking of August, I'm being downsized. Figures....I find a decent office job and now they shut us down. Why, you ask? Outsourcing. Bastards. We are getting an ok severance package though, so all isn't lost just quite yet.
